CEEDs event @ Google

The event “Making sense of big data: placing the human experience at the centre of the solution”, organised and supported by the CEEDs project, along with i2 media research and Goldsmiths, University of London, was held on June 6th 2013 at Google Campus. The event was very successful, with more than 70 people from universities and businesses attending and participating in an open discussion around big data and the data deluge.

If you would like to continue the discussion on how to make sense of big data, see #SENSEBIGDATA

The CEEDs project, represented by Jonathan Freeman (CEEDs Project Coordinator) and Paul Verschure (CEEDs Scientific Director), proposed a new and innovative approach to this hot topic, by bringing the human experience at the centre of the possible solution. Other brilliant talks were given by Paul Lukowicz (Scientific Director at the DFKI GmbH and Professor of Computer Science at the University of Kaiserslautern), Stephen Fairclough (Professor of Psychophysiology at Liverpool John Moores University), Matt Coler (Co-head of the Cognitive Systems Group at INCAS³) and Hua Dong (Senior Lecturer in Design at Brunel University).
